Brøndby IF vs. FC Vestsjælland

On Saturday, Julian said his friend from work had three extra tickets to see one of the local big football teams in Denmark. It turns out that Brøndby is only about a 15 minute bike ride from our house! Ian and I took up the offer and got to tag along for a local game! It was not a big match (because it was not against their rivals FC København) but it was still a wild time.

Sunday, we all formed our biker gang and rode out in the rain to the stadium where we met Julian's friend for tickets. We all got some beers and chips and took our seats, which were only a few feet from the field.

The banner you see on the right side of the picture was hung in protest for the sale of the National Away Card for Brøndby fans, where they need to buy a pass to go to away games. Their protest consisted of the first 15 minutes of the game being conducted in silence. It was actually quite eerie, having a quiet stadium and the players still going on. However, as soon as 15 minutes as up, the crowd started roaring and chanting as usual!

The final score was 4-0 Brøndby. We kicked some ass.
